Boat Accident in Assam Claims Life of Three-Year-Old Girl
Dhubri, Assam — The body of a three-year-old girl who went missing following a boat accident in the Tipkai River near West Bilasipara was recovered on Sunday morning.
The unfortunate incident unfolded on Saturday night when a boat carrying several passengers capsized, prompting an immediate search operation by local authorities and residents. Eyewitnesses reported that the accident resulted in injuries to at least ten individuals.
Amid the frantic search efforts, the young girl was reported missing. Tragically, her lifeless body was later discovered by local residents floating in the river, marking a heartbreaking conclusion to the search.
Authorities were alerted after the body was found, and law enforcement personnel quickly arrived on the scene. The child’s body has been sent to Dhubri Medical College for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Local officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident as the community mourns the loss of the young girl.
