N. Biren Singh Promotes 45th Fish Fair cum Fish Crop Competition

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh is promoting the 45th Fish Fair cum Fish Crop Competition, a significant event that highlights the dedication of fish farmers across the state.

Organized by the Department of Fishery, Government of Manipur, at Hapta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound, Imphal East, this annual fair aims to showcase the best harvests from local fish farmers, ahead of the Ningol Chakkouba festival .

With a target of selling 1,50,000 kilograms of fish this year, the fair has become a vital platform for the local fishing community. Chief Minister Singh emphasized the importance of supporting local industries and sustainable practices, stating, “The Fish Fair demonstrates the commitment of our fish farmers, who have come together from across the state to present their best harvests.”
