Assam Launches Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, Offering 3,523 Opportunities for Youth
Guwahati, November 3, 2024 — The Government of Assam’s Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department has unveiled the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (Pilot Project 2024-25), aimed at providing internship opportunities to 1.25 lakh youth across India.
Notably, Assam has been allotted 3,523 internship positions as part of this nationwide initiative.
The scheme offers participants the chance to gain hands-on experience through placements in India’s top 500 companies. This exposure to leading organizations is designed to enhance the professional skills and industry knowledge of the interns.
Along with invaluable work experience, interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for a duration of 12 months, complemented by a one-time allowance of ₹6,000 to support their endeavors during the internship.
To be eligible for this program, candidates must be aged between 21 to 24 years and should have completed their Class 10, 12, ITI, Diploma, or Graduation.
Interested applicants are required to submit several documents during the registration process, including an AADHAAR card, proof of educational qualification, and a self-declaration of family income.
The registration deadline for the internship scheme is set for November 10, 2024. Candidates can apply online at pminternship.mca.gov.in or visit their nearest Employment Exchange for assistance.
