BSF Thwarts Smuggling Attempts Along Indo-Bangladesh Border in Tripura
Agartala: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura has successfully thwarted several cross-border smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border in separate operations.
Acting on specific intelligence, BSF troops rescued 12 cattle from a smuggling operation, preventing their illegal transfer across the border.
In other operations, the BSF seized a range of contraband goods, including 7.5 kg of Ganja, 750 kg of sugar, 46 bottles of phensedyl, and other items, with a total value estimated at Rs 46,09,615.
These operations highlight the continued vigilance and efforts of security forces to secure the region and prevent illegal activities along the border.
Earlier this week, security forces in Tripura arrested five individuals, including two Bangladeshi nationals, for illegally crossing the international border and entering India. The individuals were spotted by BSF personnel while crossing at Jalkumba village in the Sabroom area and were subsequently arrested for violating border security protocols.
