Mizoram CM Announces Departmental Service Review Committees to Ensure Workforce Efficiency
Aizawl, Mizoram – In a move aimed at bolstering workforce quality across Mizoram’s government departments, Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced the formation of review committees in every department to assess employee performance.
Speaking at the Mizoram Secretariat Service Association conference on November 8, the Chief Minister outlined the new policy’s objective to foster a more qualified and efficient government workforce.
“Service review committees have been formed in all departments. We will identify employees who can’t perform their duties as well as those who are not fit to continue to ensure that the state has qualified and efficient employees,” stated CM Lalduhoma. He emphasized that enhancing government employee performance would lead to immediate improvements in state service quality.
Previously, the Chief Minister had indicated the government’s intent to take necessary actions, including the termination of employees deemed unfit to continue in their roles. This initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to streamlining operations and prioritizing service excellence across Mizoram’s government departments.
