Assam: In light of the ongoing rush of passengers due to the Chhath festival, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced eight special train services to accommodate the increased demand on 10th November 2024.
Here are the details of the special trains:
1. Train No. 05744 (Katihar-Chhapra):
• Departure: Katihar at 16:00 hrs
• Arrival: Chhapra at 00:20 hrs (next day)
2. Train No. 07541 (Katihar-Dauram Madhepura):
• Departure: Katihar at 19:00 hrs
• Arrival: Dauram Madhepura at 22:00 hrs (next day)
3. Train No. 07540 (Katihar-Manihari):
• Departure: Katihar at 20:30 hrs
• Arrival: Manihari at 21:30 hrs
4. Train No. 05742 (New Jalpaiguri-Gomti Nagar):
• Departure: New Jalpaiguri at 08:00 hrs
• Arrival: Gomti Nagar at 07:15 hrs (next day)
5. Train No. 01666 (Agartala-Rani Kamalapati):
• Departure: Agartala at 17:20 hrs
• Arrival: Rani Kamalapati at 16:35 hrs (12th November 2024)
6. Train No. 05831 (Rangapara North-Prayagraj):
• Departure: Rangapara North at 09:00 hrs
• Arrival: Prayagraj at 12:40 hrs (11th November 2024)
7. Train No. 05672 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Guwahati):
• Departure: Anand Vihar Terminal at 23:45 hrs
• Arrival: Guwahati at 14:15 hrs (10th November 2024)
8. Train No. 01066 (Agartala-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus):
• Departure: Anand Vihar Terminal at 15:10 hrs
• Arrival: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 08:25 hrs (13th November 2024)
In addition to these special services, extensive arrangements have been made at key stations to ensure the smooth boarding and travel experience for passengers. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is actively ensuring organized boarding procedures.
The main stations will have designated waiting areas, public announcement systems, train display boards, seating arrangements, and CCTV cameras to enhance passenger convenience.
