Violence Escalates in Assam’s Samaguri as Independent Candidate Found in Critical Condition

Assam: The electoral climate in Assam’s Samaguri has taken a troubling turn with reports of an independent candidate, Mosabbir Ali Ahmed, discovered in critical condition.

Ahmed, who is contesting as an independent, was found injured by the roadside in Katimari Grant, raising serious concerns over the safety of candidates and the integrity of the election.

According to local sources, Mosabbir had received a call from an unknown number urging him to step outside his home. It is alleged that as he exited, unidentified individuals forcibly abducted him, escalating fears of targeted violence among the candidates. The incident has sent shockwaves through the Samaguri community and heightened the sense of vulnerability among those involved in the electoral process.

Mosabbir Ali Ahmed is currently under close medical supervision at a private hospital in Nagaon. His family has voiced accusations against the Congress party, claiming that he received threats from its members. The incident underscores the urgent need for heightened security measures and reinforced law enforcement to protect candidates and ensure a fair election in Samaguri.
