Assam: CM Sarma Directs Comprehensive Review of State-Level Initiatives

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed Chief Secretary Ravi Kota to conduct a thorough review meeting with all District Commissioners (DCs) on November 16. The meeting aims to assess the progress of various state-level initiatives and ensure their timely and efficient implementation.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Road Safety: In light of the recent surge in road accidents, the meeting will delve into strategies to enhance road safety measures, including stricter enforcement and awareness campaigns.
  • CM’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (AAA): The progress of this scheme, which aims to develop model infrastructure in various districts, will be scrutinized to ensure its impact on local economies and communities.
  • PM Vishwakarma Scheme: The meeting will review the implementation of this scheme, which provides financial support to traditional artisans.
  • Swasthya Sewa Utsav: The progress of this initiative, aimed at improving healthcare access in remote areas, will be assessed.
  • Antenatal Registration and NFSA Implementation: The meeting will discuss the status of antenatal registration and the equitable distribution of food grains under the National Food Security Act.
  • PM-KISAN: The implementation of this scheme, which provides direct income support to farmers, will be reviewed.
