Arunachal: Notorious Drug Distributor and Arms Case Accused Apprehended in Seijosa Police Operation
Arunachal Pradesh: In a significant breakthrough, Seijosa police, under the leadership of SP Pakke Kessang, Tasi Darang, successfully arrested Md Nurjamal Haque, alias Rahul, a notorious drug distributor and prime accused in a high-profile arms theft case.
The operation, carried out in the early hours of November 16, 2024, was led by SDPO Sashi Dore and a team comprising SI Sang Thinley, OC PS Sja, H/C Duyu Talley, HC (IRBN) Arman Tachang, and Constables Adam Namkang and Kalu Gyadi. Acting on intelligence, the team conducted a meticulously planned raid on a rented property named “Kainat” in the Air Force Colony, Solonibari, located in Assam’s Sonitpur district.
Md Nurjamal, who had been evading authorities since October 2024, was implicated in the theft of prohibited firearms from the central kote of the 3rd IRBn Seijosa. He was also identified as a central figure in drug distribution networks spanning Sonitpur district in Assam and East Kameng and Pakke Kessang districts in Arunachal Pradesh, making him one of the region’s most wanted individuals.
The arms theft case, registered under the Arms Act, previously led to the arrest of three individuals, including two IRBn personnel. With Md Nurjamal’s apprehension, law enforcement has now detained all suspects linked to the case.
Authorities believe that the arrest and subsequent recovery of the stolen firearms will significantly disrupt criminal operations in the region. Police are actively investigating to uncover the full extent of Md Nurjamal’s network, his associates, and the illegal activities he facilitated.
The success of this operation underscores the coordinated efforts and dedication of the Seijosa police team. Their swift action not only resolves the arms theft case but also delivers a critical blow to drug trafficking operations in the affected districts.
The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring that criminal elements are brought to justice and the safety of the region is upheld.
