Guwahati: Two individuals have been arrested by the Bhagaduttapur police in Guwahati for brutally assaulting a minor boy. The incident, which took place in the Jatiya locality, was captured on video and has sparked widespread outrage.
The shocking footage shows the boy being repeatedly beaten by a group of individuals, including being struck with a key, causing severe injuries to his eyes and other parts of his body. The assault was reportedly triggered by a minor offense committed by the victim.
Local police, alerted to the incident, promptly intervened, rescuing the injured boy and providing immediate medical attention. Following a thorough investigation, Himangshu Baishya and Jayanta Talukdar were apprehended and taken into custody.
The incident has highlighted the growing concern over vigilante justice and the need for stricter measures to prevent such acts of violence.
