Rijiju Highlights the Importance of Constitutional Literacy Ahead of Constitution Day

Arunachal: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized the significance of understanding the Indian Constitution, noting that while many Indians refer to it, they often overlook its fundamental aspects.

Rijiju expressed his hope that more people would gain a deeper knowledge of the Constitution, particularly as the nation approaches the observance of Constitution Day at the Samvidhan Sadan.

To promote greater constitutional literacy, Rijiju announced the publication of informative booklets designed to make the Constitution more accessible to the public. “We are creating a small booklet outlining the basics of the Constitution, along with a larger book featuring the making and historic journey of the Indian Constitution,” Rijiju explained.

The larger book, which will serve as a comprehensive guide, will include visual illustrations to accompany various chapters and offer detailed insights into constitutional amendments. Through these resources, Rijiju aims to provide the public with a clearer and more thorough understanding of India’s foundational legal document.
