Security Forces Intensify Operations to Maintain Stability in Manipur
Imphal: Security forces in Manipur have escalated their efforts to maintain peace and order through extensive search operations and area domination drills across the state’s vulnerable hill and valley districts. The operations aim to restore stability amid ongoing tensions in the region.
Vehicular movement along National Highways 37 and 2 was closely monitored to ensure the safe transit of critical supplies. A total of 121 and 261 vehicles were escorted along these routes, respectively. To safeguard these lifelines, security convoys were deployed in sensitive stretches, with stringent measures in place to counter potential threats at vulnerable locations.
As part of the enhanced security measures, 104 Nakas and checkpoints have been established throughout the state. These checkpoints cover both hill and valley areas and are designed to deter illegal activities while maintaining vigilance over key routes.
The intensified operations have also resulted in the detention of five individuals for violations reported in various districts. These actions reflect the commitment of the security forces to uphold law and order and prevent any disruption to public safety.
Authorities continue to appeal for public cooperation in these efforts, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in fostering a peaceful environment in Manipur.
