Tripura CM Manik Saha Condoles Death of Army Jawan in Siachen Avalanche
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed profound grief over the death of Subhankar Bhowmik, an Army personnel from the state’s Gomati district, who tragically lost his life in an avalanche at Kashmir’s Siachen Glacier.
In a Facebook post on November 19, CM Saha paid tribute to the jawan, who served in the Assam Regiment and hailed from Birganj in the Amarpur subdivision. “I am deeply saddened by the death of Subhankar Bhowmik… May his soul rest in peace. I offer my sincere sympathy to the bereaved family,” the Chief Minister wrote.
Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury also shared his condolences on social media, lauding Bhowmik’s ultimate sacrifice for the nation. “Subhankar Bhowmik, a brave army personnel, died in an avalanche in Siachen. I express my deepest condolence over his untimely death and convey my sympathy to the bereaved family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti,” he stated.
The state mourns the loss of the courageous soldier who served with dedication, and tributes continue to pour in for his supreme sacrifice.
