Guwahati: In a heartwarming turn of events, Gyandeep Hazarika, the delivery agent who was brutally assaulted by a police officer, has been offered a job and enrolled as a student at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM).
On Sunday, USTM Chancellor Mahbubul Hoque extended an offer to Hazarika for the position of Sectional Officer in the university’s administrative department, with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000. Additionally, Hazarika will be pursuing a part-time MBA at the university.
