Minor Tremor Shakes Nagaland’s Kiphire District

Kiphire, Nagaland: A moderate earthquake jolted the Kiphire district of Nagaland on Thursday morning. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported the magnitude of the tremor to be 3.8, which struck at 7:22 AM.

While the seismic activity caused a brief moment of alarm, no immediate reports of damage or casualties have emerged.

Earlier this week, another minor earthquake, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, hit the Damcherra area of Tripura’s North District. The tremor, which occurred on Monday morning, was centered at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The region, known for its geological activity, has experienced several minor earthquakes in recent times. Experts advise residents to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols during seismic events.
