Assam: Two Bikers Killed in Collision with Parked Truck in Sadiya

Assam: Two young bikers lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Chapakhowa, Sadiya, Assam, when their Himalayan bike (AS23AG0207) collided with a stationary Punjab-body truck (AS01AA8439) parked in front of Chiang Hotel.

The deceased have been identified as Madhurya Baruah and Nabajyoti Dal, both residents of Nijapara in Sadiya.

According to eyewitnesses, the speeding bike failed to notice the unmarked parked truck, leading to the fatal crash. Local authorities promptly responded to the incident, and the bodies were transported to the nearest hospital for post-mortem examination.

The police have begun questioning the truck driver as part of the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, the accident has sparked renewed calls for stricter enforcement of traffic safety measures, including proper marking and regulation of parked vehicles on highways, to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
