Woman Brutally Murdered by Husband in Arunachal Pradesh

A tragic incident of domestic violence has rocked the state of Arunachal Pradesh, where a 30-year-old woman, Ganga Biswakarma, was brutally murdered by her husband, Susan Tayum, on November 24, 2024.

The victim, a mother of three, was allegedly killed in a gruesome act of domestic violence. Her family, devastated by the loss, is struggling to cope with the tragedy. The victim’s mother, expressing her grief, highlighted the family’s poverty and the immense contribution of her daughter to their livelihood.

The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has taken cognizance of the incident and is actively working to provide support to the bereaved family. The organization has also raised concerns about the welfare of the victim’s children, urging the Child Welfare Committee to intervene.

The APWWS has strongly condemned the rising cases of violence against women in the state and called for stricter measures to ensure women’s safety and security. The organization has also commended the efforts of Para-Legal Volunteer Obang Dai in supporting the victim’s family during this difficult time.
