Tripura Chief Minister Inspects Land for new Bhawan in Mumbai

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today inspected the land acquired for the construction of the much-awaited Tripura Bhawan in Mumbai.

The Chief Minister had traveled to Mumbai yesterday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Maharashtra Chief Minister and took the opportunity to review the site for the Bhawan.

Dr. Saha highlighted the long-standing plans of the state government to establish a Tripura Bhawan in Mumbai, aimed at addressing the needs of people from Tripura, including patients, who often travel to the city for treatment.

“We don’t have any Tripura Bhawan in Mumbai. The cabinet decided to set one up, and today, I came to physically verify the land,” Dr. Saha said. The land, located close to the Tata Cancer Hospital, is accessible via two roads, making it a prime location for the Bhawan. The CM further mentioned that states like Sikkim are also setting up their Bhawans in the area.

The project has been allocated Rs. 100 crore, and Dr. Saha confirmed that the design of the building had been reviewed with some modifications planned. He emphasized that the people of Tripura would benefit significantly from this initiative in the near future.
