Assam: Thousands Gather at Dhubri Gurudwara to Commemorate Guru Teg Bahadur’s 349th Martyrdom Anniversary

Assam: Dhubri’s historic Gurudwara saw an outpouring of devotion as thousands of devotees from across India and abroad gathered to mark the 349th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, the ninth Sikh Guru.

The celebrations commenced with a Prabhat Pheri, infusing the town with spiritual fervour. This was followed by the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib Paath and Akhand Paath Sahib, filling the Gurudwara with prayers, kirtans, and a profound sense of unity and faith.

Sardar Daljit Singh Sethi, President of the Sikh Pratinidhi Board Eastern Zone, praised the overwhelming participation, highlighting the presence of devotees from Punjab, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, the North East, and abroad. He emphasized the importance of honoring the Guru’s sacrifice for freedom, faith, and humanity.

The event continues with spiritual programs, cultural events, and langars offering free meals to all. The occasion fosters communal harmony and reflects the Sikh values of service, brotherhood, and universal love.
