Sikkim’s Beauty Queen Shines at International Pageant
Sikkim: Anisha Chettri, a radiant star from the serene hills of North Sikkim, has brought immense pride to India by securing a top 15 spot at the prestigious Queen of the Universe pageant held in Cairo, Egypt.
Not only did she represent India with grace and elegance, but she also clinched the coveted ‘Miss Best Ramp Walk’ sub-title, showcasing her poise and confidence on the international stage.
The pageant, a celebration of diversity, intelligence, and cultural richness, saw participation from 48 countries. Chettri, a former student of Mangan Senior Secondary School and NBBD College, Tadong, embarked on her glamorous journey with Miss Sikkim 2018, where she was a top-16 finalist and won the Best Ramp Walk title at Miss Northeast.
The Queen of the Universe pageant is renowned for empowering women and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents, share their stories, and inspire others. Organized under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Universe Middle East, Veronica Huseynli Ahmed, this year’s event in Egypt attracted 150 contestants from around the world, culminating in the crowning of the Golden Queen.
