BSF Thwarts Smuggling Attempts in Tripura

Agartala: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura has successfully disrupted several smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband worth over Rs 7 lakh.

In a recent operation, BSF troops, acting on intelligence inputs, intercepted a consignment of Ganja and Phensedyl valued at Rs 3,43,699. This significant seizure dealt a blow to the narcotics smuggling network operating in the region.

In another series of operations, BSF personnel foiled multiple smuggling bids, seizing items such as sugar, rice, cosmetic products, and other contraband worth Rs 4,08,085.

In a joint operation with the Government Railway Police, Agartala, BSF troops apprehended four illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. The group included one male, one female, and two children.
