Gangtok: Sikkim made a significant impact at the 8th Bengal Tourism Mart (BTM) 2024, held from December 17 to 19. This prestigious event, the largest of its kind in East and North East India, aimed to promote North Bengal and Sikkim as premier domestic tourist destinations.
Organised by the Eastern Himalaya Travel and Tour Operators Association (EHTTOA), the event garnered support from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and West Bengal Tourism. Sikkim’s participation provided a platform to showcase its diverse tourism offerings to a wide audience, including attendees from Darjeeling Hills, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and other North Eastern states. Representatives from states such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Telangana, as well as international delegates from Nepal and the Pokhara Tourism Council, also attended the event.
