Assam Higher Secondary TET 2024 Postponed, New Date Announced
Assam: The Higher Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 examinations in Assam, originally scheduled for December 29, have been postponed.
The Gauhati High Court intervened, granting a petition from a section of candidates who sought a postponement due to the release of a new syllabus just days before the exam.
The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) issued a notice on Saturday, announcing the new exam date as January 19, 2024.
New admit cards will be made available on January 3 through designated websites. The DSE had released a new syllabus on December 5, with the initial exam date set for December 29.
Admit cards were subsequently issued on December 15. The High Court ruled that the exam could not proceed as scheduled, mandating a minimum 15-day gap between the release of the new syllabus and the exam date.
With only 22 days remaining before the original exam, the sudden syllabus change created significant uncertainty among the candidates.
