Security Forces Recover Explosives and Arms During Operations in Manipur
Imphal: In a decisive effort to bolster security in Manipur, security forces conducted intensive search operations and area domination exercises on December 23 across vulnerable zones in the hill and valley districts.
These efforts led to the recovery of a significant cache of explosives and arms in Lesiang village, Churachandpur District.
Among the items seized were 40 meters of cordtex, nine improvised explosive devices (IEDs) equipped with detonators, one non-electric commercial detonator, and 30 centimeters of safety fuse. The discovery highlights ongoing measures by security forces to neutralize threats and prevent potential acts of violence.
These operations underscore the commitment of the forces to maintaining peace and stability in the region. Vigilance remains high to counter any attempts at destabilization, ensuring the safety of communities across Manipur.
