Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Hails PM Modi’s Leadership in Empowering Youth Through Rozgar Mela

Assam: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on December 24 praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for empowering the youth through initiatives like the ‘Rozgar Mela.’

Speaking to ANI, Sonowal highlighted the transformative impact of the program, stating, “The youth of the country feels empowered after the Prime Minister’s efforts of recognizing their contribution for the Viksit Bharat through the Rozgar Mela. 71,000 appointment letters were given to the youth across the country.”

The Rozgar Mela 2024, organized by the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, marked its 14th edition this year. Prime Minister Modi, addressing the event virtually, emphasized the government’s commitment to creating employment opportunities with transparency and efficiency. He encouraged the newly appointed candidates to contribute to India’s prosperity and development, reinforcing the government’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”

Held across 45 locations nationwide, the event saw over 71,000 youth receiving appointment letters. The Border Security Force (BSF) facilitated the event at 16 locations, ensuring its successful execution.

Separately, Union Minister Sonowal chaired a meeting of the Dibrugarh Airport advisory committee earlier in the day. The meeting reviewed progress on the airport’s runway expansion and assessed infrastructure upgrades crucial for the region’s connectivity. Sonowal underscored the transformative development of Dibrugarh since 2014, crediting PM Modi’s leadership for positioning the airport as a key gateway to Northeast India’s prosperity.

“The Rozgar Mela and infrastructure advancements exemplify the government’s dedication to empowering youth and fostering growth across India,” Sonowal concluded.
