Tripura Among ‘Fast Movers’ in LEADS 2024 Report for Logistics Excellence

Northeast: Tripura, alongside Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim, has been recognized as a ‘Fast Mover’ in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2024 report.

The report was unveiled by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on January 3 in New Delhi during the felicitation ceremony for the “Logistics Excellence, Advancement, and Performance Shield (LEAPS) 2024.”

In the North-Eastern category, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh were designated as Achievers, while Tripura and its counterparts were acknowledged for their significant progress in logistics performance. Manipur was categorized as an Aspirer, reflecting ongoing efforts in logistics development.

The LEADS 2024 report evaluates logistics performance across four core pillars: Logistics Infrastructure, Logistics Services, Operating and Regulatory Environment, and the newly introduced Sustainable Logistics. These parameters provide a comprehensive assessment of each state’s logistics ecosystem.

The report not only highlights initiatives undertaken by states and union territories but also identifies specific opportunities for improvement. This enables stakeholders to make informed decisions aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency and sustainability.

The recognition as a ‘Fast Mover’ underscores Tripura’s strides in strengthening its logistics framework, contributing to the region’s overall economic growth and integration with national and global supply chains.
