Assam: Kokrajhar Releases Final Electoral Roll for Five Assembly Constituencies Ahead of 2025 Elections

Assam: The Kokrajhar district administration released the final electoral roll for 2025 on January 6, covering five assembly constituencies—Kokrajhar, Baukhungri, Dotma, Gossaigaon, and Parbatjhora. The announcement was made by District Commissioner Masanda M. Pertin during a press conference at the Kokrajhar District Commissioner’s office.

The updated voter list indicates a total of 700,458 registered voters in the district, reflecting an increase of 6,169 voters. The constituency-wise breakdown is as follows:
1. Gossaigaon Assembly Constituency:
• Total voters: 115,589
• Male voters: 57,983
• Female voters: 57,605
• Third-gender voters: 1
2. Dotma (ST):
• Total voters: 106,582
• Male voters: 53,018
• Female voters: 53,834
3. Kokrajhar (ST):
• Total voters: 144,000
• Male voters: 70,631
• Female voters: 73,367
• Third-gender voters: 2
4. Baukhungri:
• Total voters: 162,117
• Male voters: 80,712
• Female voters: 81,404
• Third-gender voters: 1
5. Parbatjhora:
• Total voters: 172,170
• Male voters: 88,021
• Female voters: 84,148
• Third-gender voters: 1

District Commissioner Pertin emphasized the significance of the updated electoral roll in ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections in the district. With this update, Kokrajhar district is set for its electoral process as part of the upcoming 2025 elections.
