Indian Army Rescues Eight Civilians After Accident in Manipur’s Kangpokpi District
Imphal: In a swift response, the Indian Army rescued eight civilians involved in a road accident near Khunku Naga village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district late Monday night.
The incident occurred when a truck carrying the individuals lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near the village, located in the Leimakhong area. The army was alerted by the chief of Henjang village, who reported the accident.
Upon receiving the information, a rescue team was immediately mobilized to the site. The injured civilians were evacuated to a nearby military hospital, where army doctors provided first-aid and trauma care.
The timely intervention and efficient efforts of the rescue team ensured the safe recovery of all eight victims, highlighting the army’s commitment to aiding civilians in emergencies.
