Mizoram CM Highlights Role of Education at NIT Mizoram’s 8th Convocation
Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma underscored the transformative power of quality education in building a prosperous future during the 8th Convocation Ceremony of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Mizoram.
The event, held on January 14 at the Art & Culture Auditorium in Aizawl, celebrated the achievements of 147 graduates, marking a milestone for the institute and its students.
In his keynote address, the chief minister lauded NIT Mizoram as a premier institution contributing to India’s engineering talent pool. He congratulated the graduating students and expressed gratitude to their parents for their unwavering support.
CM Lalduhoma also commended the faculty for their dedication in shaping skilled professionals who would contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.
“Human resources are the most valuable asset for a nation’s progress. Institutions like NIT Mizoram play a pivotal role in equipping young minds with the knowledge and skills needed to build a brighter future for Mizoram and India,” he stated, encouraging the faculty to maintain high standards of academic excellence.
Addressing the progress of NIT Mizoram’s permanent campus construction at Lengpui, the chief minister assured attendees that the government is working to resolve administrative challenges hindering the project’s completion. He expressed confidence that construction would resume soon, reaffirming the government’s commitment to modernizing educational infrastructure and fostering a world-class learning environment.
As 147 degrees were conferred during the convocation, CM Lalduhoma emphasized the importance of empowering future leaders and innovators, highlighting the crucial role of education in shaping Mizoram’s and India’s development.
