Meghalaya: Historic Cricket Match to be Held at Alotgre Cricket Ground in Tura

Shillong: Tura’s Alotgre Cricket Ground will host its first-ever BCCI domestic match when Meghalaya faces Bengal in the U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2024-25, starting on January 25.

This marks a significant achievement for both the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) and the Tura District Cricket Association, who have worked tirelessly to bring a BCCI tournament to Garo Hills. The upgraded facilities at the ground have made this event possible.

Hosting a match at this level is expected to inspire young cricketers from Garo Hills, with several local players selected for the upcoming match. The game will begin at 8 am on January 25, and seating arrangements for the public will be available.
