Meghalaya Cricket Association President Inspects Tura Ground Ahead of Historic BCCI Match

Shillong: Meghalaya Cricket Association President Nababrata Bhattacharjee visited the Alotgre Cricket Ground in Tura on January 16th to inspect preparations for the upcoming U-23 men’s Col CK Nayudu Trophy match between Meghalaya and Bengal.

This historic match, scheduled for January 25th, will mark the first-ever BCCI domestic cricket match to be held in Garo Hills. Bhattacharjee held a detailed discussion with Tura District Cricket Association officials, reviewing the progress made on ground and other related infrastructure.

The MCA President expressed his appreciation for the dedication of TDCA officials and the ground staff, emphasizing the significant effort required to secure Tura as a host venue. He reiterated the importance of ensuring a successful inaugural match to establish Alotgre as a permanent BCCI-approved venue.
