DR Thapa Re-elected as Sikkim BJP State President for 2024-2027

Gangtok: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sikkim has unanimously elected DR Thapa as the State President for the 2024-2027 term.

The announcement was made on January 25 during the party’s organisational elections held at the BJP State Office in Singtam.

The declaration was officially announced by V. Muraleedharan, BJP Northeast Co-coordinator and Election Officer, in the presence of State Council members and party Karyakartas.

Expressing gratitude for the confidence placed in him, Thapa reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots network and driving development initiatives aligned with the BJP’s vision for Sikkim and the nation.

Party members congratulated Thapa on his re-election. A senior member remarked, “His leadership and experience will be pivotal in advancing BJP’s mission in Sikkim.”

V. Muraleedharan, appointed by the BJP national leadership, oversaw the election process to ensure fairness and transparency.

This marks a continuation of leadership for Thapa, who has previously served as the BJP State Unit President. His re-election signals strong support within the party and sets the stage for BJP’s future strategies in Sikkim.
