Sikkim Police Solve Theft Case in Namchi, Accused Apprehended

Gangtok: Sikkim’s Namchi police have successfully solved a theft case that was reported at Bhutia Busty, Namchi, on January 24, bringing much-needed relief to the local community.

The accused has been apprehended, and legal proceedings are underway.

The incident came to light through a Facebook post by local resident Biren Rai, who alerted the public about the theft.

The crime occurred at a shop in Bhutia Busty, and crucial evidence was gathered from CCTV footage, which showed the suspect with their face partially covered, making identification a challenge.

Following the lead, Namchi Police swiftly launched an investigation. Through diligent efforts, they were able to trace and apprehend the individual responsible for the crime.

Further investigations are ongoing as legal actions are pursued.
