Arunachal Home Minister Takes Part in Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung, along with his wife Manaki Natung, participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj by taking holy dips at the sacred Sangam and performing a “yagya” at the ashram of Govardhan Math Peethadheeshwar Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshajanand Devtirth.

Natung expressed his joy at attending the Maha Kumbh, which occurs once every 144 years, and urged people to visit the event to seek blessings from Maa Ganga and saints from across India.

He praised the arrangements made under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ensuring smooth pilgrim experiences.

Highlighting developments in Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast, Natung commended the Narendra Modi-led government for advancements in counter-insurgency, infrastructure, and digital technology, especially in border areas.

He noted that schools, roads, and homes have been built to encourage residents to remain in remote border villages, which Modi refers to as the “first villages of the country.”

Manaki Natung described her first experience at the Maha Kumbh as an honor and a fulfilling lifelong dream.

Swami Adhokshajanand Devtirth emphasized the unique spiritual significance of “yagyas” performed during the Kumbh Mela, calling them exceptionally potent.

Arunachal Pradesh shares its borders with Bhutan, China, and Myanmar, with ongoing development enhancing the quality of life in these regions.
