Imphal: In connection with the arson incident at Mantripukhri on January 26, 2025, Manipur Police have arrested two individuals from Imphal East District.
The suspects, identified as RK Mahesh, 50, and Maibam Ishwar Raj, 30, are currently under investigation as authorities work to determine their roles in the incident and uncover further details.
In a separate case, stemming from the damage and arson of properties belonging to elected representatives on November 16, 2024, police have apprehended a juvenile in Kakching District on January 27, 2025.
The arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing probe, as investigators aim to establish the extent of involvement and any possible connections between the incidents.
