Meghalaya CM Conrad K. Sangma Holds Review Meeting on State and Central Schemes in Tura

Shillong: In alignment with a recent resolution passed during the Cabinet Retreat in Sohra, the Meghalaya government has decided to hold regular review meetings every Monday to assess the progress of ongoing state and central schemes.

On January 27, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma convened a meeting with Deputy Commissioners and government departments in Tura to evaluate the implementation of various projects and ensure their timely delivery to the people.

The review meeting focused on assessing the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives and ensuring that development projects are reaching their intended beneficiaries.

This effort is part of the government’s broader strategy to monitor progress and tackle challenges that could hinder the smooth execution of plans.

Earlier this month, CM Sangma and senior government officials attended a two-day Cabinet retreat in Sohra, where they discussed a wide range of development challenges and devised strategies for the state’s growth. The retreat, which concluded on January 11, featured thematic sessions in which departments interacted with the chief minister and officials to discuss the vision for Meghalaya’s future.

During the retreat, the government unveiled its roadmap for the state’s development, Vision 2032, aiming for Meghalaya to become one of the Top 10 States in India. The discussions also included setting clear, time-bound goals for departments to ensure that the state moves towards achieving this ambitious vision.

CM Sangma urged the officials to remain focused on setting practical and measurable goals, emphasizing the importance of adhering to time frames to ensure the successful realization of Meghalaya’s long-term development aspirations.
