
Arunachal Pradesh Cyclist Tajum Dere Makes History at 38th National Games
Itanagar: Tajum Dere from Arunachal Pradesh has etched his name in history as the first cyclist from the state to compete in the prestigious 38th National Games.
Hailing from the picturesque hills of Shi-Yomi, Dere’s remarkable achievement reflects his determination and exceptional talent, as he gears up to represent Arunachal Pradesh on the national stage.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to his official X handle to congratulate Dere on his historic accomplishment, offering his heartfelt wishes for the upcoming event. He wrote, “Tajum Dere, you have pedalled your way into history! Dere is the first cyclist from Arunachal to make it to the 38th National Games.”
In addition to congratulating Dere, CM Khandu praised his inspiring journey, saying, “From the hills of Shi-Yomi to the national stage, you are showing the world the way to conquer mountains.”
As Dere heads to Uttarakhand to compete, he carries with him not only the pride of his state but also the hopes and best wishes of Arunachal Pradesh.
