Assam: Pramod Boro Highlights National Progress in Response to Union Budget 2025
Guwahati: Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and President of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), has praised the Union Budget 2025, emphasizing the nation’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Speaking to the media, Boro stated that the budget aligns with the Amrit Kaal vision, ensuring steady national development. While acknowledging ongoing discussions about its impact on marginalized communities, he refrained from making detailed comments, citing the need for a thorough review.
Earlier, Boro had presented a ₹2,200 crore budget for the 2024-25 financial year under the Vibrant BTR Mission 2024-25, an initiative aimed at enhancing accountability, transparency, and efficient service delivery in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
He further highlighted that since PM Modi’s tenure began, numerous welfare initiatives have been introduced to uplift the common people. Expressing optimism, Boro added, “I am hopeful this budget will bring positive news for the people.”
