Guwahati: A suspected chain-snatcher was nabbed by the police in Guwahati, Assam for stealing a mobile phone.
The accused was identified as 28-year-old Rahul Baruah.
He was arrested by Guwahati police for attempted chain-snatching.
Baruah, a resident of Gandhi Mandap area, was caught near the PHE Office in Hengerabari while trying to snatch a pedestrian’s mobile phone.
Police seized a scooter and a mobile phone from his possession and are investigating possible links to other chain-snatching incidents in the area.
