Guwahati: A gang of 10-12 armed robbers looted a residence in Badarpur of Shribhumi, making off with over Rs 8 lakh in cash and gold jewellery.
The victims, including a businessman Abdul Khalik and his family, were terrorized in the dead of night, with the robbers firing multiple gunshots to intimidate them.
The robbers allegedly cut off a woman’s ears to steal her gold jewellery, leaving her severely injured.
The police have launched a full investigation into the incident and have detained three suspects for questioning.
The police are working to piece together the details of the crime.
