Guwahati police have arrested two youths from Hatigaon along with a Bangladeshi woman at a hotel in the city, following allegations of involvement in the production of explicit content.
The individuals were taken into custody by Dispur Police, with the detained youths identified as Sofikul Haque and Jahangir Alam. Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman, had illegally entered Assam without a valid visa.
She is currently being held at Dispur Police Station, while the two youths are undergoing interrogation by senior officials from Hatigaon Police Station.
The arrests were made at Hotel Aditya, located near Last Gate, Dispur. Sources indicate that on February 1, rooms 101, 102, and 105 were booked by two other unidentified individuals.
During the booking, Min Akhtar and one of the accused reportedly posed as a couple. Authorities are now probing the extent of the alleged activities and any potential links to a broader network.
