Assam: Two Suspects Arrested in Sonapur for Heroin Trafficking
Guwahati: Police arrested two suspected drug dealers in a nighttime operation in Sonapur, Assam, seizing 12 grams of heroin along with cash and other items.
The suspects, Vicky Lyngdoh and Ricky Kharsyntiew, both 24 years old, were apprehended by the Sonapur Police Station team. The heroin, packed in a box, was found during the arrest.
In addition to the drugs, officers recovered a mobile phone, a motorcycle, and Rs 13,140 in cash, which is believed to be connected to drug sales.
These arrests are part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to tackle drug trafficking in the region. The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
