Assam Shines at 38th National Games: Gold in Lawn Bowls, Silver in Taekwondo, Bronze in Athletics
Guwahati: Assam athletes continue to impress at the 38th National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand. Today, Nayanmoni Saikia and Bongita Hazarika brought home a Gold medal in the women’s Lawn Bowls (Doubles) event. This significant win adds to Assam’s growing medal tally.
Further showcasing Assam’s sporting prowess, Monita Acharjee, Benla Kemprai, and Panchami Das secured the Silver medal in the women’s Taekwondo event.
In the men’s Athletics event, Amlan Borgohain clinched the Bronze medal, adding another feather to Assam’s cap.
Following these impressive results, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended his heartfelt congratulations to the athletes.

As of February 8, 2 pm, Assam’s medal tally at the 38th National Games stands at a commendable 29 medals, comprising 3 Gold, 14 Silver, and 12 Bronze.
