Manipur Governor Reviews Key Administrative and Security Issues

Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla convened crucial discussions at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, on February 13, focusing on pressing administrative and security matters in the state. The meetings brought together senior officials from the healthcare and law enforcement sectors to address ongoing challenges and strategize future interventions.

Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), met with the Governor to outline various administrative hurdles affecting the institution’s operations. Highlighting key concerns, Sharma sought the Governor’s intervention to ensure smoother functioning and improved medical services. Governor Bhalla assured him of the necessary support, emphasizing the importance of strengthening healthcare facilities in the larger interest of the people.

In a separate meeting, outgoing Inspector General (IG) of M&N Sector, CRPF, Dr. Vipul Kumar, along with the newly appointed IG, Rajendra Narayan Dash, briefed the Governor on the CRPF’s deployment and operational strategies in Manipur. The discussions revolved around the force’s role in maintaining law and order, particularly in conflict-prone areas.

The meetings reflect the state administration’s commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure and security operations. Governor Bhalla reiterated his resolve to address key concerns and ensure that institutional challenges are met with effective solutions for the welfare of the people.
