Tripura CM Manik Saha Invites PM Modi to Inaugurate Mata Tripureswari Temple, Seeks AIIMS & IIT for State

New Delhi – Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi on Saturday, extending a formal invitation for the inauguration of the redeveloped Mata Tripureswari Temple premises at Matabari.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for Dr. Saha to discuss key developmental priorities for the state, including the establishment of premier institutions like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM.

Taking to social media platform X, Dr. Saha expressed his delight in meeting PM Modi, writing, “On behalf of the people of Tripura, I invited him to inaugurate the redeveloped Mata Tripureswari Temple premises at Matabari.”

He also conveyed warm wishes to the Prime Minister for his successful diplomatic visits to France and the USA and congratulated him on the BJP’s recent victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.

According to sources, Dr. Saha raised several pressing issues concerning Tripura’s development. He underscored the need for enhancing agricultural productivity, boosting the agarwood and rubber industries, and implementing strategies for employment generation to create job opportunities for the state’s youth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Tripura requires premier institutes like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM to strengthen its healthcare, technical education, and management sectors.

The meeting is seen as a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the state and central government. A close aide to the Tripura CM described it as a positive engagement, with PM Modi attentively considering the state’s demands and development agenda.

Chief Minister Saha’s outreach highlights Tripura’s commitment to fostering economic growth and preserving its cultural heritage, ensuring that the state benefits from central government support in its developmental journey.
