Gangtok: The Citizen Action Party-Sikkim (CAP-Sikkim) has commended the Sikkim Police for successfully apprehending Samson Tamang on February 20, 2025, from Bodh Gaya, Bihar. His arrest follows growing demands for action over his alleged hate speech and derogatory remarks aimed at the Khas community.

Expressing gratitude for the coordination between various law enforcement agencies, CAP-Sikkim acknowledged the efforts of the Government of Sikkim, Sikkim Police, and the police forces in West Bengal and Bihar in securing Tamang’s arrest.
The party also appealed for public calm and urged citizens to allow the legal process to unfold. “Let us stand united against hate and uphold the values of peace and brotherhood that define our state,” the statement concluded.
