RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Highlights ‘Panch Parivartan’ at Intellectual Meet in Guwahati
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organized an intellectual gathering for its Guwahati-based Karyakartas at South Point School, Barsapara, where RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat delivered an inspiring address on societal transformation. Speaking to thousands of attendees, Dr. Bhagwat emphasized the importance of ‘Panch Parivartan’—five key reforms aimed at fostering national and social progress.
Elaborating on the five pillars of transformation, he highlighted social harmony, family values, environmental conservation, Swadeshi practices, and civic duties as essential elements for a stronger society. Stressing the need for unity, he called for harmony across communities, castes, religions, and linguistic groups, advocating for a culture of respect and cooperation in preserving Hindu temples, water bodies, and cremation grounds.
Dr. Bhagwat underscored the pivotal role of family in shaping moral values, urging individuals to uphold traditional ethics that can guide future generations. He also addressed environmental concerns, emphasizing collective responsibility in water conservation, reducing plastic waste, and afforestation.
Promoting Swadeshi culture, he encouraged the adoption of indigenous language, attire, food, and housing while discouraging an over-reliance on foreign languages. He urged people to communicate in their native tongue to preserve India’s rich cultural heritage.
Regarding civic responsibilities, Dr. Bhagwat asserted that beyond adhering to state laws, individuals should uphold traditional moral values that contribute to an ethical society. He emphasized that these values, even if not explicitly mentioned in legal frameworks, are crucial for national development.
The event saw the presence of key RSS figures, including Bhupesh Sharma, Sanghchalak of Uttar Assam Prant, and Guruprasad Medhi, Sanghchalak of Guwahati Mahanagar, along with thousands of dedicated Karyakartas who gathered to engage in discussions on these transformative ideals.
