Morigaon: Morigaon Police have successfully intercepted a truck transporting cattle illegally, acting on intelligence inputs.
The vehicle, bearing registration number AS 15 AC 9256, was en route from Moirabari to Silchar via Morigaon when it was stopped by law enforcement officials.
According to police sources, the truck was carrying around 32 cattle in violation of regulations.
The authorities have taken the truck driver, handyman, and another individual into custody for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation into the smuggling network. This seizure is a significant blow to the illicit cattle trade in the region.
