Assam: Patacharkuchi Revenue Officer Suspended Over Allegations of Misconduct

Guwahati: Masum Yusuf Ahmed, the Revenue Circle Officer of Patacharkuchi in Bajali district, Assam, has been suspended with immediate effect following allegations of misconduct and violation of service rules.

The suspension order was issued after an investigation by the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell revealed that Ahmed had been engaged in private employment while holding a full-time government position, a direct breach of the Assam Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965.

In light of the findings, the Governor of Assam approved Ahmed’s suspension, emphasizing the importance of maintaining public service integrity.

The suspension has been enforced under Rule 6(1) of the Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964, and will remain in effect until a departmental proceeding is concluded.

As per official directives, Ahmed’s headquarters during the suspension period has been designated as Guwahati. The disciplinary action underscores the state government’s commitment to upholding transparency and accountability within the administration.
