Shillong: The Meghalaya government has taken strict action against those involved in the 2019 Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) question paper leak, with 14 individuals arrested so far, including 11 candidates.
Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma informed the Legislative Assembly that the leak was traced to a programme developer and an employee of NEICOM Impression Printing Press in Guwahati.
The irregularity first came to light at Tura Government College in West Garo Hills, prompting an investigation that led to multiple arrests. The minister shared this update while responding to detailed questions from MLA Rupa Marak during the ongoing Budget Session on March 7.
Authorities continue to monitor the case as part of broader efforts to uphold the integrity of recruitment examinations in the state.
